Personal Envoy Mozambique [1]

Facilitating dialogue between the Government of Mozambique and opposition RENAMO, towards the signing and implementation of a peace agreement.

The UN Secretary-General named Ambassador Mirko Manzoni (Switzerland) as his Personal Envoy for Mozambique on 9 July 2019. In this role, Mr. Manzoni will provide good offices support in facilitating the dialogue between the Government of Mozambique and opposition RENAMO and towards the signing and subsequent implementation of a peace agreement between the parties.
